Course Content


Module 01: Introduction to Barista
Module 02: Introduction to Food and Beverage Service
Module 03: Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) (SITHFAB021 training and assessment by TasTAFE RTO 60142)

Course Fee

$300 per person including GST*

*This course fee is subsidised by grant funding from the Tasmanian Government. As part of the funding, the Tasmanian Government require VXT to report on employment outcomes. VXT will reach out to you after the course to gather data on your employment status when you completed the course, and if you were unemployed, did the course help you gain employment.

Enrolment Process

  1. Online: Available by clicking the Enrol Now button next to each course date. The online process will provide three options for payment (invoice, secure credit card or tentative enrolment).
  2. Email: email courses@vxt.org.au with your full name, date of birth, phone number and preferred training date
  3. Telephone: Call the team 03 6387 7244 to register over the phone.

In addition to the VXT enrolment process, participants will need to complete a TasTAFE accredited training enrolment process to be eligible to complete the accredited component of the program. VXT will provide details of this process to participants after VXT enrolment is placed and course fees received. Course participants are required to hold a Unique Student Identifier (USI). if not already obtained, it is recommended participants apply for a Unique Student Identifier at www.usi.gov.au prior to completing the enrolment form.

Enrolment Terms

  1. Payment of course fees (or deposit) is required to confirm enrolment and to hold a position.
  2. Cancellations up to 10 working days before the scheduled date will be accepted without penalty. Cancellations less than 10 working days may be subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
  3. VXT reserves the right to cancel the course 10 working days before the scheduled date if insufficient registrations are received. Any fees paid for cancelled courses will be refunded in full.

Certificates

Participants who attend and successfully complete all four days of the Hospitality Essentials Training Program will receive the following certificates:

  1. Introduction to Barista Skills issued by VXT
  2. Introduction to Food and Beverage Service issued by VXT
  3. SITSS00071 – Responsible service of alcohol issued by TasTAFE RTO 60142. Participants must successfully pass a range of assessments to be eligible for this issue of a Statement of Attainment.

Course participants are required to hold a Unique Student Identifier (USI). if not already obtained, it is recommended participants apply for a Unique Student Identifier at www.usi.gov.au prior to completing the enrolment form.
